Tipu Sultan

Tipu Sultan (1751-1799) was the ruler of the Kingdom of Mysore in southern India, known for his strong opposition to British colonization. Nicknamed the "Tiger of Mysore," he was an innovative and skilled military leader who implemented modern weaponry and administrative reforms. Tipu Sultan also fostered economic growth through trade and agriculture. His reign was marked by several conflicts with the British East India Company, culminating in his death during the Fourth Anglo-Mysore War in 1799. His legacy remains influential, symbolizing resistance to colonial rule in India.
